The much awaited tracks of film ‘Mankatha’ was released on 10.08.11 at the studios of Radio Mirchi FM channel, Chennai. It was a simple affair but with high intensity of excitement that was seen in the faces of all the participants. Director of the movie Venkat Prabhu and the music director Yuvan Shankar Raja were the prominent person who took the centre spot at the launch. The FM channel had arranged a special programme on the eve of this audio launch function. RJ Ajai played all the tracks from the movie to the delight of the listeners. While speaking at the function the all thrilled director said, “The album rocks, like that of the person who created it”. Yuvan also spoke about the compositions. Actor Vaibhav was also present at the launch.
The grand function that was arranged for the launch of the audio was cancelled at the last hour due to some reasons. Sources say since ‘Thala’ Ajith was busy shooting for his next film ‘Billa 2’ in Hyderabad. ‘Mankatha’ features Ajith, Arjun, Trisha, Anjali, Andrea and Vaibhav in the lead roles.
