* 'Mankatha' audio launch on Radio Mirchi

The audio of the much-awaited Pretty Trisha's 40th and Thala Ajith's 50th film, 'Mankatha', that also marks his 50th film in Tamil cinema, will be launched on August 10 and at a radio station in the city.

Fans can tune into it and listen to the songs of the movie along with an interactive chat with Yuvan Shankar Raja and Venkat Prabhu or rush to music stores and get a copy of this DVD on August 10. Previously, Sony Music had launched an online pre-booking offer that had witnessed a tremendous response

Sony Music plans to leverage its digital delivery infrastructure to ensure that all music lovers can access the songs legitimately. These songs will be available through mobile stores as well as through legal downloads on the internet.

"Since Ajith will not be present at the press meet, the makers have decided to skip a grand affair for the audio launch and chose a rather innovative manner", say sources in the know. "Actually Dhayanidhi Alagiri planned for an out of this world sort of audio launch, but we cancelled it due to reasons known. But you guys will love the songs", expressed director Venkat Prabhu.

The advertisements of the film appeared in Tamil dailies today and will be seen in few leading English dailies from tomorrow. The trailer will get censored soon and will be unveiled shortly.

The much awaited day is just less than 48 hours and all Thala fans are gearing up for the big day of the audio launch of Mankatha i.e. August 10th, 2011.

The fans and audiences have expected a grand audio launch but it is bit disappointing to hear that the launch is happening without much fanfare as the makers have planned in a simple manner at Chennai Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM.  Producer Dhayanidhi Alagiri has actually planned for a world sort of audio launch but later decided to skip as Ajith will not be present at the press meet.


Mankatha audio launch is happening in an innovative manner and the fans can tune into Radio Mirchi to listen to the songs along with an interactive chat with Yuvan Shankar Raja and Venkat Prabhu.

Sony Music known for its innovative music concepts, as apart of its marketing initiative, will be premiering the songs of the film on all leading Chennai radio stations giving the fans an opportunity to listen and enjoy the songs.

Sony Music plans to pull its digital delivery infrastructure and ensures that all music lovers can access the Mankatha songs legally as the songs will be available through Nokia ovi store as well as through legal downloads on the internet. They are also in partnership with mobile operators to make sure that songs are available to the music lovers and fans as caller tunes and ringtones.
