Bhavatharini, noted singer and daughter of Ilaiyaraja, has rendered a song for Ajith’s Mankatha after a long hiatus from singing. She won the National award in 2001 for her song Mayil Pola Ponnu Onnu for Bharathi, the music for which was scored by her father. She even ventured into music direction, composing the scores for Revathi’s Mitr, My Friend, Phir Milenge and the Telugu film Avunaa.
After her marriage to Sabariraj, she has been focusing on her family mainly. In 2009, Bhavatharini did a track for her father, in the film Paa. Now, she has lent her mellifluous voice to a special song for Ajith’s Mankatha. Yuvan has scored the music. It will definitely be nice to hear that sweet voice again.
