The Mankatha audio having released yesterday, here is an interesting story about how the film took off. Speaking about Mankatha, Ajith said that he had become good friends with Venkath Prabhu while they worked together in Ji. Knowing Venkat Prabhu’s direction plans, Ajith had told him that if he ever had a script for a character with negative tones as the one in Vaali then he would be more than willing to work for it. Well, that was way back in 2005 after which Ajith got busy with other projects like Billa and Aasal.But, when Ajith heard that Venkat Prabhu was ready with a script post Goa he immediately enquired about it. Venkat Prahu said that the story was about five bad guys out of which one guy was really really bad. That one line was enough to convince Ajith that this was the negative character that he had been looking for. He told Venkat Prabhu that he was ready to play the very very bad guy himself. And, Mankatha took off. With the audio having released and the film’s release imminent, the excitement is hitting fever pitch.
