Promotional wave: Hollywood favourite Tom Cruise waved at fans outside the Taj Mahal as he promoted Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol in India today
He plays a character who is never afraid to accept a tricky task in the Mission Impossible films.
And movie legend Tom Cruise is not afraid to accept a challenge either, as he showed by promoting the latest flick in the franchise in India.
The actor posed in front of the Taj Mahal and met with fans as he hammed it up for the cameras.
Close: Tom looked to have made a new chum as he waved at fans under the watchful eye of an army guard
And no his fans will love seeing him hamming it up again as he revisits the well with Mission Impossible - Ghost Protocol, the fourth entry in the money-spinning series. Tom, 49, certainly looked in good spirits as he stood in the grounds of the historic mausoleum.
He wore a relaxed ensemble of green trousers and casual blue shirt, and he even revisited his Top Gun days by donning a pair of aviator sunglasses.
Poser: Tom did not look in any danger of losing his marble as he posed with his leg on the heavy stone bench
Specsy: But even the legendary movie hunk was outshone by the building listed as one of the Eight Wonders of the World
Tom said he was 'very excited' to be in the country for a fan screening the thriller ahead of its world premiere on Wednesday.
He added: 'I wanted to come to India my whole life, so I am very excited.'
The Legend star even took the time to pose with one of his co-stars from the flick Anil Kapoor, who plays a villainous Indian tycoon in the picture.
However this may be one occasion where he was not the main attraction, as the Indian is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood.
No doubt visiting India jogged a few memories for Tom, as some of his espionage flick was filmed there.
Star power: Tom was not afraid to get his hands dirty by posing with fellow cast member Anil Kapoor
Big man: The pint-sized actor added a few inches in height for photographers by standing on the ever-handy bench
He IS bigger than the Taj Mahal: Tom looks like he could flatten the building with his palm in this artfully taken shot
The film follows the latest improbable adventure of superspy Ethan Hunt, and his ever handy face-changing device.
A terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin while he is carrying out an undercover operation in Moscow, which leads to all sorts of James Bond-esque high-jinks.
The Russian government believes the attack is 'an undeclared act of war,' while the United States government shuts down the Impossible Mission Force.
However in an A-Team style twist, Hunt and his four-man team escape from the government's custody and try to catch the perpetrators.
It is unclear at this stage whether they are sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit, or escape from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground.
Ethan must have fancied an curry: The superspy pays a visit to India in the upcoming action adventure film
Clever stunt: Tom gets to show off his muscles again thanks to the exciting thrills and spills in the flick
