Let's do the locomotion! Gwen Stefani treats her adorable boys to a train ride in the park

All aboard: Gwen Stefani and eldest son Kingston smile as they enjoy a train ride at Griffith Park today

With just two more sleeps until Christmas, excitement must be mounting in the Stefani-Rossdale home, given the ages of their young boys.

So what a great idea it was for super mommy, Gwen Stefani, 42 , to take Kingston, five, and three-year-old Zuma out for a bit of pre-Christmas fun to distract them from the Santa tracker.

And there was a ride, too, thought not a traditional sleigh for this hip family, but a ride on a train around Griffith Park, east of Hollywood.

Precious cargo: Little Zuma also wants his wave to be seen, as he shows off his natty, eclectic outfit

They all looked to be having a fabulous time as they chugged around the famous beauty spot being pulled by the little red engine.

Zuma and his fashion designer mother were both dressed in vibrant-patterned leggings, which looked great in the bright LA sun, and with their platinum blonde locks.

Kingston seemed to draw inspiration from his rocker father Gavin Rossdale, who he seems to take after more, in muted colours.

Destination Christmas! Zuma, in particular, seemed to be enjoying the jaunt

It is no surprise that the couple's children are following in their mother's fashionable footsteps.

Gwen is known for her unique sense of style, which has seen her go on to own successful fashion and accessories lines.

And her latest accomplishment is a foray into designing children's clothing.

The No Doubt frontwoman just launch her clothing line, Harajuku Mini Kids, a collaboration with retailer Target.
