The 25-year-old shot to fame in The OC, where she played a beautiful resident of the gilded community of Newport Beach in California, until her character Marissa Cooper was killed off in 2006.
Her career has not yet reached similar heights, and in 2008, another beach - this time on Hamilton Island in Queensland, Australia - caused her to be portrayed in an unflattering light, with severe looking cellulite.
Just perfect: Mischa has struggled to maintain a consistent weight, but she seems to have found her balance But today, there can be no argument that the willowy brunette looked both healthy and in in stunningly good shape as she enjoyed a post-Christmas break in Miami.
Wearing just a simple but fashion aware black cut-out bikini, Mischa accessorised with a slick of bright red lipstick that gave the ensemble a 50s' pin-up edge, and also matched her drink.
She later changed into a striped sweater and denim shorts, seemingly conscious not to reveal her lower half for close scrutiny after cellulite-gate.
Mischa's shape has changed dramatically in recent years and she has claimed that those photographs her had been retouched.

But there's no denying the fact that the stunning young actress struggles to maintain a consistent weight.
Since her emotional roadside departure in the teen drama, she's been spotted looking heavy and bloated then extremely thin.

London-born Mischa, who has a few small-budget movies coming up, has led a colourful life in the years since her time in the sun ended.
In 2008, she was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and possession of Cannabis after she was pulled over police in West Hollywood.

Mischa was sentenced to three years of unsupervised probation and the marijuana charge was dropped.

Mischa had a short spell in a psychiatric hospital in 2009 after being sectioned under America's 5150 law.
It allows a psychiatrist to confine a person if they believe they are a danger to themselves and others.
Mischa explained: 'If they feel you are depressed or a danger to yourself they can hold you on a 5150.
'I am terrified of needles and they wanted to pump me full of drugs and I said, 'No, absolutely not. I don't want to be here,' and got into a fight with the nurses, and that led to my 5150.'
