Sad it's over: Russell Brand looked dejected as he left the Savoy Hotel in London today just a day after filing for divorce from pop star wife Katy Perry

Russell Brand looked a shadow of himself as he left his hotel in London today, crushed at then end of his marriage.
The usually jovial comedian filed for divorce from wife Katy Perry yesterday just 14 months after tying the knot and his sorrow was etched across his face.
The breakup seems to be weighing heavily on the actor who looked glum as he exited the Savoy Hotel.

Incognito: Russell pulled his hat low over his face and covered his eyes with dark glasses

With his wooly hat pulled low over his face and dark glasses covering his eyes, Brand looked sad and crestfallen that his short-lived marriage was over.
He appeared to be with Florence Welch from pop band Florence and the Machine as he left the building.
Meanwhile, new reports claim that Perry wanted her husband to file for divorce so that she didn't have to be the one to end their marriage - and disappoint her evangelical Christan parents.
Brand's lawyers filed papers in Los Angeles this week ending the A-list couple's union.
According to celebrity website TMZ, the singer, 27, did not want to officially file for divorce herself as divorce goes against her religious upbringing.

Split: Katy Perry is claimed to have wanted estranged husband Russell Brand to file for divorce so she did not have to be the one to end their marriage

Her parents, Keith and Mary Hudson, publicly gave their approval to their daughter's love before their marriage, despite his controversial background.
Keith, a pastor, said at the time: 'We all have a past. I was in the Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin era, and I used to take LSD.'
TMZ alleges that, contrary to earlier reports, the couple agreed to split a few weeks ago, but waited to file papers until they were both out of the country.
