Is Reese Witherspoon boring you? Chelsea Handler snoozes on the set of This Means War

She woke up just in time to shoot scenes with Reese in a VW Beetle.

Many words apply to Reese Witherspoon, but 'boring' isn't typically one of them.

That still didn't prevent Chelsea Handler from taking a quick cat-nap in the sweet Southern blonde's presence yesterday on the Long Beach, California set of their film, This Means War.

Reese, 35, looked bright-eyed and bushy-tailed as she chatted to a brunette pal, but then, she isn't on double duty like Chelsea is.

The ladies' outfits were at odds: Reese looked sophisticated and sexy in a black leather jacket, suede stiletto boots and a tight-fitting vest.

The comic was far more low-key in blue jeans and a red button-down shirt.

The ladies - who have a mutual pal in Jennifer Aniston - play best friends Lauren (Witherspoon) and Trish (Handler) in the McG-directed picture.

The film is about two CIA agents played by Tom Hardy and Chris Pine who go to war with one another after they realise they're both dating Reese's character.

The movie was initially meant to be made in 2001 with Martin Lawrence and Chris Rock in the lead roles.

Ew! No doubt Handler said something to shock the sweet 35-year-old actress

It was cancelled, obviously, and revived years later with constant casting changes.

Avatar actor Sam Worthington was attached to star and the role was given to his doppelganger, Hardy, when he dropped out.

Bradley Cooper and Seth Rogan were also initially meant to make appearances: the former walked away from the project while the latter turned down a role.

The film will finally be released on February 17, 2012.
