Approach with caution! Lady Gaga steps out... in an outfit covered with spikes

By CHRIS JOHNSON

Coming through: Lady Gaga was spotted out in Harajuku, Tokyo, today wearing a dominatrix-inspired outfit which was covered in metal spikes

She's known for her weird and sometimes wonderful fashion sense.

But this latest offering from Lady Gaga looks like it could take someone's eye out.

The eccentric singer, 25, was spotted in Tokyo today in an-all black ensemble, which was speckled with spikes.

Gaga's mean-looking leather bonnet was completely covered with metal studs, as was the back of her jacket, which she wore open, revealing a black bra and bare midriff.

The Born This Way star was also wearing a pair of customary towering heels, a black skirt and net overlay for an altogether out-there look.

Walking tall: The eccentric singer's cap was covered in studs and she wore a pair of skyscraper platform heels too

She completed her look with a studded handbag, leather gloves and kooky shades.

The New York star is in Japan for the holiday season.

But it seems she has not quite recovered from the jet lag, and earlier tweeted her followers: 'Can't sleep Tokyo jet lag. Having a fashion show by myself of some new vintage finds. #dontjudgeme #iwasbornthisway.'

Not to be messed with: A back view shows the spikes covering the back of the singer's jacket

Luckily she is now back in control of her Twitter account after falling victim to hackers.

The fraudsters managed to access her account on the microblogging site and post a message to her 17 million followers, making it look like it was from Gaga herself.

According to E! News, the offending entry - which came complete with a link - read: 'FREE iPad2's to each one of you in the spirit of the holidays.'

But Gaga set the record straight by removing the post and telling her fans: 'Phew. The hacking is over! And just in time, I'm on my way to Japan!

'So excited to spend Xmastime with my TokyoMonsters!'
