The frenzy of the second edition of the Celebrity Cricket League is well under way in the south as well in Bollywood and the star-teams are being put together. Reportedly, after signing hot ‘n happening actor Suriya to head the Chennai Rhinos team for the second time, organiser Radhika Sarathkumar wanted to rope in our own Chennai ponnu Beautiful Trisha as the Brand Ambassador for the team.
Reportedly, the actress was approached with a decent offer last month. But since the price offered was not even one-third of what the Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya star charges for product endorsements, Trisha turned evasive.
In a bid to avoid the embarrassment of asking for more, apparently she took the easy route and cited lack of dates as the reason for her non-acceptance.
Meanwhile the CCL directors had already signed biggies like Sonakshi Sinha, Genelia D’Souza, Kangana Ranaut for their Bollywood team headed by Salman Khan; with Richa Gangopadhyay and Shriya for the Telugu team which has Jr NTR as captain; and Lakshmi Rai and Bhavana for the newly-formed Malayalam team under Mohanlal’s captaincy.
