The actress is excited for being chosen for this prestigious award and has thanked all those who have voted for her. She adds that the love and affection showered on her by her fans have transformed in to these votes and it means a lot to her.

Trisha is one of the popular heroines in the south Indian circuit and is currently eagerly waiting for the release of Mankatha, in which she plays the female lead opposite Ajith.

Pretty Trisha Krishnan has been selective in signing new films, after successfully completing 10 years (starts in 2002) of her film career.

“I have completed almost 10 years of my film career. I appeared in more than 40 films and proved myself in Telugu, Tamil and Bollywood film industries. Though I didn’t not score a success in Bollywood, I haven’t come across anyone saying ‘Trisha is waste’ there. I had the experience of working for 30 days in a month. Now, I have decided not to do that any more. So, I’m very selective in signing films,” said Trisha.

And Trisha reveals that, she has no interest to shift her base to Mumbai.

“Though there were few offers from Bollywood, I rejected them as they were not good enough. If I want to concentrate on Bollywood, then I should settle in Mumbai. But, my roots are in chennai and I don’t want to move from there. If anything exciting comes my way in Hindi cinema, then I will think about it,” she adds.

Glamorous Trisha was selected for the Style Icon award for the year 2011, which will be presented by NDTV Hindu. She has beaten her competitors, including Anushka Shetty, Shriya Saran, Tamannah Bhatia, and Hansika Motwani.

There are no more delays and the countdown of South Indian Beauty Queen, Gorgeous Trisha Krishnan's 40th and Ultimate Star, Thala Ajith's 50th film ‘Mankatha’ audio has already begun. While talks are going on with UTV Motion Pictures to acquire the film rights, Sony BMG is all set to release the audio on August 10.

As revealed by the sources, the last moment changes have taken place thereby deleting a track that was meant for promotional videos. Since, it was delaying the release of music, the makers decided to remove the track.

The teasers of ‘Mankatha’ will be out from next week and it will be aired on satellite channels and theatres accordingly.

Anusha has rendered the song, composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, in the company of Karthik and Vijay Yesudas. "It has come out good and will be one of the highlights of the album," say sources in the know.

Says the director, Venkat Prabhu, "When we did a concert at the wedding reception of Dayanidhi, we made Anusha to sing. It was there we realized that she has a gifted voice and could make it as a big singer."

"So we decided to make her sing for Mankatha. She was initially apprehensive and but finally accepted our request. She came out with a stunning performance," he adds. 'Mankatha', the 50th film of Ajith, will see an August release.

Sweet Trisha has delivered a hit in Telugu Teenmaar with Pawan Kalyan (Love Aaj Kal Remake), but in Tamil this will be her first release for the year. But Trisha readily accepts that Mankatha is a boys film, and her role in the movie is short and sweet.
