Barbie Hsu Wants an Apology From Sohu's CEO

The wedding might be over but the feud continues.

Some of the rules guests "must" follow at Barbie Hsu (Da S) and Wang Xiao Fei's wedding is don't bring a camera to take photos and upload them online. However, guests obviously didn't follow and happily took photos at the wedding still. But they didn't really post photos of the couple online, but the CEO of Sohu did.

Sohu's CEO Zhang Zhao Yang (張朝陽) was invited as one of the groomsmen to the wedding, but was later notified he didn't have to be the groomsman anymore because one of the bridesmaids was absent. Zhang, who is also Wang's good friend, took photos of the couple at uploaded them on Sohu Weibo and these photos became the first batch of Da S' wedding photo online.

Zhang Zhao Yang
Zhang's action angered media from Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other districts. Reporters could hardly get into the wedding thanks to the security guards. They all tried their best to take good photos for their job. Some crawled on the beach and ended up getting dog poop on the shirt. Some disguised as construction workers, trying to sneak in to a nearby building. When they knew their photos were no longer exclusive since Sohu's CEO already posted them up, they were mad; all their hard work became nothing.

People pointed Da S for having favorites to Mainland media and forgetting she is from Taiwan. Da S herself immediately released a statement, claiming she didn't exclusively allowed Zhang to take photos and she demands an apology.

Facing criticism from everywhere, Zhang doesn't think he is wrong and expressed he received acquiescence to take photos at the wedding.

"I don't think my action is wrong in any way," he wrote on his Sohu Weibo. "So I will not admit I'm wrong or apologize."

Da S' husband Wang is mad and expressed he is no longer friends with Zhang. He denied giving permission to Zhang to make public of his wedding. He also acussed Zhang for hiring gossip news reporters and dressing them up as guests to take more photos at the wedding.

Da S released another statement today, once again demanding an apology from Zhang; otherwise, legal actions would be taken.

Barbie Hsu's 'Low-Profile' Wedding

Wedding ceremony location
Bridesmaid & Groomsmen
The couple walked in

Although Barbie Hsu (Da S) said it's going to be a low-profile wedding, but in fact it's very high-profile one.

Da S and Wang Xiao Fei's wedding is one of the anticipating weddings this year and is finally held today. Friends and relatives from both families flied to Hainan the day before to prepare. In order to break away from reporters, the family told them a press conference would be held in a hotel. Reporters were waiting outside in the sun for hours and in the end realized they fell for Barbie's trap.

When they arrived Hainan, Xiao S, Blackie Chen, and other Da S' friends and relatives accepted interview from reporters. Da S then took this opportunity to get on the car. Although both families only had 80 people, but nearly a hundred police, security guards, and staff from the hotel in total were there to guard them. They blocked reporters from going closer to the family, some of them even treated reporters rudely.

The big day finally arrived (March 22) and originally Da S rejected reporters from reporting, stating she just wants to have a low-profile wedding. However, she then allowed Sohu to report their wedding live. That was the same to guests at the wedding, who weren't allowed to take photos at the wedding but in the end they broke the rule anyways.

The ceremony was held in the afternoon. Da S and husband Wang were in white wedding outfits. Bridesmaids and other accessories were in purple, which is Da S' favorite color. Although it was windy during the ceremony, but everyone could feel the couple's happiness.

It's rumored the whole event costs at least 30 million NTD. Plus everyone's attention are on them. What a "low-profile" wedding!

Barbie Hsu Passes Out Wedding Cakes

After she announced her engagement and marriage in recent months, Barbie Hsu is now passing out wedding cakes to people (it's a Chinese wedding tradition to pass out wedding cakes/pastries to relatives and friends). The wedding cakes box is specially created on the request from the actress that it's currently not available to others. Considering husband Wang Xiao Fei has studied in France before, the box contains French dessert such as all kinds of chocolate and soft fruit candies.

A round card with a photo of the couple's back is placed outside the box, it writes: "We are very happy." The card is created from the phone and Barbie says she just want to deliver this happy feeling to everyone.

Barbie Hsu's Mother-in-law Not Mad At Intimate Photos

It is said Barbie Hsu's mother-in-law Zhang Lan is mad at the actress after she saw photos of intimate scenes from movie "My So-Called Love" (2008). The actress plays a character who experienced domestic violence, drop-out from school, pregnancy before marriage, and love pains, etc in this 2008 film. The focus of the film is certainly her bed scenes with Eddie Peng and Joseph Chang.

But Barbie feels these scenes are necessary for work and there is nothing wrong with it. Her husband Wang Xiao Fei is sandwiched in between his wife and his mother. It is said the relationship between the two greatly affected.

Zhang, who is busy holding business meetings in Beijing, denied getting mad: "It's all nonsense!" She stressed these photos are "past tense" and she does not mind at all; photos and related reports will not affect her relationship with Barbie.

It really is official! Barbie Hsu (Da S) made the announcement through her management company earlier today. She and Wang Xiao Fei were indeed married on the 16th in Beijing. They released a photo that was taken at the marriage registration office, as well as a statement from Da S. In the brief message, she even shot back at Dee Hsu (Xiao S) who previously said Wang looks just like her husband Mike, but not as good-looking.

Here is Barbie Hsu's message:
Xiao Fei and I registered our marriage in Beijing on November 16th. Thank you for everyone’s concern and well wishes. Both of our families are very happy! Xiao Fei and I will continue with our work as usual. We would like to ask our friends from the media to give us some room, and be aware of their own safety while they chase after us! Thank you.

P.S. The handsomeness of my husband is no less than my brother-in-law (referring to Dee Hsu’s husband.)

Sincerely,
Da S

Da S Can't Wait No More, Finishes Marriage Registration in Beijing

The couple in Shanghai airport last night
Engaged after meeting fiance Wang Xiao Fei just four times, Barbie Hsu (Da S) cannot wait any longer to be married. Yesterday she and fiance went to Beijing to get marriage certificate together and finished the registration in 10 minutes.

Da S took a few days off from the filming of film "Da Wu Sheng" and flew back to Taiwan to get necessary documents. Then she went to Beijing to meet Wang and the two went to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register. According to a good friend of Wang, there is no special meaning for the two to register on the 16th. "Because Da S' registered permanent residence is not in Mainland, so it takes a little longer to finish the process. Today is the perfect day and they just cannot wait any longer," the friend disclosed.

Because not many people were there at the office, the couple finished the process quickly without being noticed by fans and media.  They finished this simple registration in just 10 minutes.

Although they are now registered as a married couple, however, they are not legally husband and wife yet. It is known the process is quite complicated in their case. They need to wait for a 7-10 days notarization period, then another 15 business days while their certificate is being verified by Taiwan's Straits Exchange Foundation. After the waiting, Wang needs to be interviewed in Taiwan. The whole process takes about 2-3 months in total.

It is also known the couple is holding their wedding next year in March and they will hold at least 3 times. First in Hainan Island, then in Taiwan, and lastly in Beijing.

Da S Admits Getting Engaged After Meeting Fiance 4 Times

She finally admits the engagement!

Two days ago the rumor of Barbie Hsu (Da S) engaging to Mainland rich guy Wang Xiao Fei broke out. The couple didn't want to keep it as a secret anymore and confirmed it on Weibo. Wang Xiao Fei was the first to confirm the news, stating they want a comfortable and happy life and hope everyone can give some room to them. In respond to her fiance's message, Da S expressed she knew Wang is her Mr. Right the first time they met [at Ady An's birthday party] and got engaged after meeting 4 times. The couple was spotted at Shanghai airport with their hands held tightly together. It's known they flew back to Wang's home in Beijing.

Full message on Weibo (translation by CpopAccess)

From Wang:
Everyone, don’t guess anymore, we are engaged. (The decision was made) very calmly and not sudden. (I) just happened to have met the right person at the appropriate time. We only want a happy and comfortable life, continuing with my work and career, while she can also quietly return to a family life. There is no right or wrong in a relationship, only whether it is suitable or not. Give some room and your best wishes to the two young people please?

From Da S:
(I’m) actually not that young…The point is, I’m very blessed, very certain, very happy! Moreover, our happiness will continue on! I knew it was him from the first time I met Xiao Fei, (we) got engaged after only meeting four times, (I) must say, (it’s a) match made in heaven. Thank you for everyone’s concern! We will take in all the well wishes~

It's known the couple secretly got engaged on October 18 at a church in Beijing. Wang just prepared a normal wedding ring for the proposal. Da S' good sisters weren't even there for her.

Before the couple confirmed their engagement, Da S' sister Xiao S carefully answered reporters' questions regarding to Da S. She expressed she only know how Wang looks like through the media and joked "looks like my husband, but different levels of handsomeness."

Then when the couple finally the engagement online, Xiao S was relieved and admitted meeting Wang before. She said: "I see Da S' happiness more important than mine. She is now full of happiness and a man can take care of him, no regrets in her life anymore!"

As for date of the wedding, Da S' father disclosed the couple plan to tie the knot in February, but no date has been confirmed.

Da S to Announce Engagement Soon

Recently it's said Barbie Hsu (Da S) is engaged to the son of South Beauty Group CEO Wang Xiao Fei (汪小菲) after knowing each other for just twenty days. The actress expressed that she will announce the news soon. "Besides my hand is injured these twenty days, I'm happy with everything else. I will return to Taiwan in a few days, and will announce at the right time," she said in an interview.

The 34-year-old has been single for more than two years. Once dated Blue Lan and idol Nick Chou, this time she actually decided to get engaged in less than a month. It's known she met her 29-year-old fiance at Ady An's birthday party in Beijing on September 30. The two fell in love at one sight that night. Wang didn't use Weibo much, but after he met Da S, he started to write on microblog a lot and Da S is often the one to replied first.

In fact, Da S had hinted the rumored engagement already on Weibo. "Some people you know for years but may still feel like strangers. Some people you only met for a short period, but already feel like you know them for many years. This is fate."

It's known Da S and her family gathered in Shanghai for engagement dinner. Last night reporters were waiting for them outside the flagship store of South Beauty. When Da S and her mom appeared, they were surrounded by reporters and were asked "really getting married?" The two only smiled.

Wang is currently the executive director of South Beauty. He has dated Mainland actress Kitty Zhang Yu Qi since late 2009. Yesterday he explained his relationship with Zhang on Weibo. "Yu Qi and I broke up for a while now due to personality difference, but we are still good friends. She is a good girl. Although we can't be together as a couple, but I still hope everything goes fine with her career and love life," he wrote. Then Da S' sister Xiao S immediately re-posted Wang's entry, and wrote, "bless you and bless her!" It seems the engagement news is not new to Da S' family and good friends.
