* Trisha, The South Indian Diva, is on high

Actress Trisha is on a high, post the success of 'Mankatha'. The movie has become a superhit and the south indian diva can't stop smiling!

In fact, she caught the movie with her mom, Uma Krishnan, at Sathyam Cinemas, Chennai as she wanted to watch it with the audience. The role, which was specially written for her by director Venkat Prabhu, has indeed won her accolades. Ask her how much of a support her mom has been and she quickly replies, "She's been great. It's basically me and my mom who have handled my career and she's done most of the behind-the-screen work. We work very well together and at the end of the day you need support."

And with so many heroines in Kollywood today one is sure to feel the heat of the competition. But the cool actress says, "To be honest, I don't mean to sound pompous but I don't think of them as competition. For me, actresses who came in 10 years back and who are still sustaining today are competition. It's just a trend; there'll be new faces constantly. My longevity has shown my talent and what I am capable of."
